MOTTO: Vie et Liberate

Jehan George Vibert was a prolific painter who's works often took the mickey out of the clergy. At various stages in his life his works were influenced by differing styles which is reflected in the breadth of type of paintings he produced. Here are some of my favourites together with commentaries where available.

The Spanish Barber
Schism
A Tasty Treat
The Sick Doctor
The King Of Rome
The Altar Boys
Ecclesiastical Conversation

Grasshopper and the Ant
