Compiled by David Vibert
in Wales (glendadavid@cs.com) this Vibert tree starts in the UK
in the 1600's and does not contain any old Jersey persons. The link
between the head of the tree and his ancestor in Jersey is still
to be found.

Part of this
tree was compiled by the late J Messervy and a copy is held in the
Societe Jersaise Library in Jersey, and then updated by me. It dates
back to 1470 in St Peter, Jersey and includes John
Este Vibert and a connection to the Dumaresq family. There
are also some later generation Canadian individuals included. Contact
me for this tree.

This is one of
two main trees starting with a Vibert born in St Ouen and in this
case with John Vibert born 1610. This tree contains most of the
Viberts who emigrated to Canada in the 1800's. This is a very large
tree and therefore has been limited to 8 generations for the purposes
of this site. Judy Weikum is the best people to contact for the
Canadian element, me for the Jersey bits. The original tree goes
back a few generations further but work is still ongoing and they
have not been included here.

Vibert who was one of the 40 original tenants who settled Sark in

sark registers from 1573 to 1654 together with other sources. Contact

This tree starts with James Bibber who originated in Jersey and
who's real name was James Vibert ( also know as Jacques, which French
for James). The tree relates virtually exclusively to the Bibbers
of the USA and the tree was kindly supplied by Paula Bibber to whom
any questions on this tree should be directed.
